Hemptiva® contains all nine essential amino acids and is naturally rich in globulin (edestin) and albumin protein fractions, contributing to both nutritional quality and formulation efficiency. These native protein structures support hydration, dispersion, and texture development across a broad range of finished systems.

The albumin fraction promotes rapid water interaction and smooth incorporation, while globulins contribute structure, body, and cohesive texture. Together, they help optimize processing performance in applications ranging from baked goods and bars to beverages and dairy alternatives.

Naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) further support protein-forward positioning for active nutrition, wellness, and functional food formulations.

Built-In Lipids & Fiber for Enhanced Performance

Unlike highly refined protein isolates, Hemptiva® retains naturally occurring lipids and dietary fiber that contribute meaningful functional advantages within finished products. Its native Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acid profile, including GLA, helps improve softness, mouthfeel, and overall eating quality while acting as a natural plasticizing component in high-protein systems.

This functionality is especially valuable in formulations prone to hardening, dryness, or brittle textures over shelf life. Simultaneously, the retained fiber content supports water binding and moisture management, helping maintain softness and product stability over time.

Hemptiva® is designed to support balanced functionality throughout processing and finished product performance. Its controlled water absorption helps manage hydration efficiently without creating overly dense or difficult-to-process systems common with some plant proteins.

The ingredient also provides effective oil-binding functionality, supporting uniform fat distribution and helping minimize oil migration in bars, snacks, and bakery applications. The result is improved texture consistency and long-term stability.

In finished products, Hemptiva® contributes softer, more cohesive textures while reducing the dry, chalky mouthfeel often associated with plant-based proteins. Its natural emulsification and light foaming properties further expand formulation versatility across multiple categories.

    Supports moisture retention, crumb softness, and improved eating quality in high-protein breads, muffins, pancakes, and baked snacks. Native lipids contribute to dough extensibility and a more tender final texture. Recommended inclusion levels typically range from 5–15% and perform especially well alongside starch or gluten systems.
  • Protein Bars & Functional Snacks
    Enhances cohesion, chew, and texture stability while helping reduce hardening throughout shelf life in dense protein systems. Improves fat distribution and overall eating quality in multi-protein applications, with typical inclusion rates of 10–25%.
  • Beverage Systems
    Improves body and mouthfeel while helping reduce thin or watery sensory profiles often associated with low-fat protein beverages. Performs exceptionally well in multi-protein systems and complements pea and rice proteins, with recommended inclusion levels of 2–8%. Stabilizers may be used for optimized suspension.
  • Dairy Alternatives
